Foster's Tour
Hello to all my fans.
Last time i wrote a full journal i was in Koh Sok National park in sleeping in the tree houses about to go rafting so i will fill you in from there (sorry this may be a little long)
Oh sorry b4 i start haha john turnbull you ordered a pink phone i know it was true about you. i win !!
Any way. The river tubing was not as much fun as it sounds its the dry hot season here so there has not been much rain so the river is quite low and slow, at times we had to jump out and remove ourselfs from a rock so it was more like a lazy river (your kind of thing kay x), even though it is the dry season as we were coming to the end it started to rain monsoon style, we ahd taken some dry clothes so was just about to change ino those when some monkeys found us. We had to walk down a wodden walk way to find some were to change. The monkeys had different ideas !!! Ps i now no longer like monkeys !! every time i tried to walk past they would try and hit my head or jump on me. so whilst they wer distracted i made a run for it (note to self, monkeys can swing faster than i can run flapping my hands) it hunted me down so i decided to about turn and run in the opposite direction back to the van, at this point i felt some thing on my back... yes it was the monkey who took a swipe at my very expensive elizibeth duke earings. i waved my fist at it and continued the fastest pace ever in a pair of flip flops to the van. trauma over. Then the driver told us that we were going to a monkey temple, as you can imagin i sang with joy. but to be fair they were much nicer monkeys and just wanted to eat bannanas from us. Spent the night at the jungle huts again playing mafia and drinking, lots of fun.
The next day we set of for the raft houses not knowing what to expect. It took a while to get there but well worth it. The place was stunning and my fave so far. Had a hut to myself and you could just dive from your bed into the lake, they had canoo's (cant spell) and tube rings to relax in and the water was soo warm and soo clear it was heaven, would go back in a flash. spent the first day relaxing and on the canoos, apart from taking a trip to a water bat cave very dark and a little scary but fun as we had to put the life lackets on like nappys through our legs, i looked gooood !!
The next morning some of us went for a walk up a mountain it took about 2 hours and was very steep and we all got attacked by leaches not alot of fun, but once we got to the top the view was worth it (check out the pics)
Again spent the day relaxing and swimming, and eventually did the rope swing, no one else would do it so i went up to have a look and decided aginst it till every one willed me to, i cant stress how high it was and the was a tree in the way and if you let go too soon you would die by hitting the bamboo below sticking out of the water. but once i did it i couldnt stop and 3 others saw i was alive so joined in. later got a little 2 drunk playing drinking games till silly o'clock. next morn we left for Ao Nang.
Ao Nang is just next door to Krabi, after checking in we went to check out the rest of the place including a beach around the corner called railey beach had to get there by long tail boat. Later that night we went for a meal and then went to a few bars, again drunk about 6 drinks too many. The next day from 9 till 4 we took a speed boat to 4 different islands including Phi Phi, Monkey and Bamboo they were all stunning and did some snorkelling, sweet little fish every were (becks maby not 4 you !!) later that night we all went for our last group meal at a fish resturant were the fish are laid out in front of you and you choose which one and how much weight you would like, tried the shark, quite nice.
As trends go went out and drank and danced toooo much not very well the next day. after a little shopping we said a sad good by to katie who has now gone on a similer trip to India (hi katie hope your having a top time and not too betty haha) just relaxed that day and later said another sad goodbye to our tour leader erkan who had gone back to turkey to do more tours there. Later went for sea food again, didnt feel 2 good so went to bed at 9pm, woke up at 2am and sorry to write this but was sick. dont really know why, but ok now.
The next day we had to say bye (again v sad) to jenny who went back home to work gutted for her (thanks for your email jen keep in touch). so just me kristina and jen left. We are going to stay together as we are going in same direction at same time (dont know if i mentioned it but kristina worked at doncaster direct line !!!)
We met up with Henry a traveling friend of kristinas and spent the night on Ton Si island just around the corner, didnt drink or eat too much to help the dicky tummy.
We have now come over to Koh Lanta for 2 nights to relax, its lovely here, alison we are in a place called best house near the north of long beach, its near the funkey fish bar and somewhere else bar. We have arrange 3 nights in Koh Samui 12/13/14th but on the 13th we will be going over to Koh Pang nga for the famous full moon party and prob sleep all da on the 14th.
