Nigel's Travels
Hola ?C?esta? Yo soy estado espa?por una semana. (OK it?s not even right) I have been in Cusco for a week now and I have got over the lethargy brought on by the altitude (3400m above see level). I have been living with a Peruvian family and atending Spanish school in the mornings. The family are very friendly but speak fairly good English so I have not practiced my Spanish enough. I have probably taught them more English. I have kept up my tradition of seeing football in every country as I went to see Cienciano the local team yesterday. Cusco which is the size of York are somehow the South American champions. They beet brazillian teams like River Palte but to me looked pretty rubish. It may be the altitude that helps them win. There is a good group at the school and we have been out quite a lot. There is quite a lively atmosphere in Cusco. The local women swarm arround the Gringos for there money and passports. This wouldn?t be a problem if they looked like the Brazzilians but I am finding it hard to believe that the current Miss world is from Peru. I will be doing a bit more Spanish next week then the 4 Day trail up to Matchu Pitchu before heading into Bolivia. Hope everyone is OK and it?s getting a bit warmer over there Nigel
