We had a little stroll round Reykjavik, and Lola got some souvenirs for her friends, then we looked for somewhere to eat, which turned out to be one of the highlights of departure day! A a tiny little first floor bar/restaurant that had just two things on the menu - two varieties of very tasty soup, served inside a round loaf that was hollowed out for the purpose - very warm, tasty and filling! Did a little more strolling, took some great photos around Hallgrimskirkja, and took more photos of the great street art/murals!
Headed to the airport and dropped off the car (which Mary-Ann and I both loved), and Europcar didn't even quibble about refunding the Adblue!
I thought that that would be the end of today's entries - until the excitement at Stansted Airport - when one of our bags failed to do the ride around the carousel. We waited for ten minutes than it was clear that it wasn't coming. We tried Baggage Enquiries but the EasyJet staff had all gone - then we went through Customs, and tried the EasyJet desk at check-in to see what we should do - no-one there. So we headed for home and will investigate tomorrow!
Footnote - finally arrived in Chatham on Thursday 1st March!
