So today was glacier-day, and what an adventure! Got up early and got through breakfast as quickly as possible! Set off from Reykjavik heading for Husafell, which is the starting point to head up the Longjokull glacier. Fairly soon after leaving Reykjavik, the traffic thinned right down and there was hardly anyone else on the road - the snow on the roads varied considerably, from non at all to a metre in from each side of the road. So after the inevitable hours sprawling around in the departure lounge we headed to the Gate where Theo and I counted the planes - we could see 6 planes - ours was orange and white! There was the predictable meltdown from him as we took our seats and he was fitted with the enhanced-infant-seating-system (mini straitjacket that stops little monsters from slithering out of their seats and escaping).
