The last weekend before we leave has been spent packing and cleaning and preparing for the journey.
June mowed the lawn (Front and Back) whilst Nige tackled the washing mountain and finally managed to iron just about evertything we own.
Wednesday 21 March
We were all up early mainly to finish off the packing but a few final chores to complete....such as getting some Hog Kong dollars from the Post Office....wonder how much we will need? 24 hours in Hong Kong... about £100 should do it.
Shelley has driven Andy to work and is then going to say goodbye to Grandma whilst Juney is busy packing, cleaning and whisking the vacuum cleaner around the house. Meanwhile, I'm phaffing about on the internet (feeling very guilty) writing this blog. I'm not sure if this blog thing will work as we don't really know how much connectivity with the internet we will have. We know our hotel in Hong Kong has free wifi and so does the accommodation in Melbourne but not sure about New Zealand and Thailand. But, hey, who cares? We can write words up as and when we go and then post them when we can connect. I'm sure that Juney will want to revert to writing her journal in a notebook and so the success of this blog may be down to me.
Anyway, next stop Heathrow airport.
