Caroline wasn't feeling too well and so just the 5 of us went out on our adventures today. Caroline did cook us a super breakfast and after that we went into Christchurch - firstly visiting the RNZAF museum before going further into town. We discovered that a few entrepreneurs had established a small shopping centre made up from cargo containers just around the corner from the Cathedral in central Christchurch - fascinating. But we did feel slightly voyeuristic ….. not sure how we should feel but it was odd looking at the destruction of a building which had killed lots of people.

We then waved goodbye to John and Caroline at the airport - Thanks for a fabulous holiday and for being superb hosts…. We had a ball.
