(in some way someting we lost already .. ) we are not able to ketch what you NZ dr eyes can catch and feel what your milky skin can feel. (I remember 2 weeks a go yr skin near to somwhat like burning red and some kind of shining pink)
Enjoy your time and in case of need ... our Family place it is always your Family place, deligted to have you with us ( too short) and share with you a very short of our time.

Hi Nicole
Have woken early and have just seen your Barcelona post of today. I can imagine how much fun it would have been meeting up with Alice again. But is Barcelona truely ready for the two of you in party mode!
Avignon and Madrid sound wonderful - with a bullfight thrown in - a first for the Steven family as far as I know - along with all the other firsts you are wracking up on this trip. Did the bullfight rekindle your interest in salsa / flamenco.
Now Nicole, there is sometthing thats been troubling me - I thought I saw you in the New World Thorndon the other day - is this travel blog real, or are you really still in Wellington and just writing the blog as a piece of creative writing, culled from that Lonely Planet guide you mentioned earlier.
To those of us sitting back in NZ your travels (bring the photos to prove they are real) have a distinct tinge of the fantastic and unreal about them. Go for it, and keep writing about the food - - your descriptions of markets and meals brighten my days!
Love, Dad

Whats this about the Greek basketball team - you kept that pretty quiet.
Have fun in Spain - neither Mum nor I, nor Granny and Grandad have been there so you are breaking new ground (other than Robert who travelled through there with Dan Tuohy. Love Dad

Capri and Sorrento and Pompei. What great places to see. Hope you enjoy Brescia. Verona is very close. Daniele and Lily are lovely people. They looked after Robert well in 2007. This week the rain stopped, but is so cold 5 or less at nights. Graeme is concreting a new entrance way. I went for a fantastic walk up Makara Peak with Carol Simcox on Saturday. Work is much the same. Last week, we interviewed 8 people to be volunteers. We accepted 6, but one lady changed her mind, so now we only have 5 new volunteers to be trained. Maybe one more will join the group. I will let Olivia tell you her news. keep in touch. When will you be in Rome?? lots of love Mum

this is a pretty sweet blog nic, i look forward to a photo of you being mega tanned (in nz terms) and still being pale in europa terms. draw a picture of NZ on your tummy when you tan and get a tan tattoo. that'd be cool too.
