Hello peoples. I hope everyone is well? I wasn't sure what to write this blog on at first. Not a lot happened this week. I went to university, studied Japanese. Went to the ECZ and played Jenga. Then I went home. I spent a lot of time at the Ecz and there is always something going on in there. But lately it has been quieter than normal. :(
On Saturday, Issie and I went for a walk, exploring. It was a beautiful day and I didn't want to waste the day in bed. It is very easy on Saturdays to do nothing all day if you do not have a plan with friends. Our walk started in Sendagi and we headed in the direction of Nezu shrine. We had wanted to go to see Nezu shrine for a while, so we were excited to see it. It was very pretty and the architecture was amazing. Tokyo can seem like a strange place sometimes. it is so busy and yet every now and again, there are small hideaways.
We explored the garden and took a look at the main shrine before moving on. There were some children there for their age celebrations. I think its 3,5 and 7? Even way, they all looked very cute in their little kimonos. After leaving Nezu shrine, we wandered further up the street and eventually we found Ueno zoo!! We had no idea it was so close to walk to. We didn't go in because Issie had plans for laters, so we walked around the lake in the park. We brought some chocolate from one of the food venders before heading home. Our walk was about 2 hours and I feel happier now I have seen a bit more of the area we live in.
