We arrived in LA and then got a lift to our hostel near in the Venice Beach area. We went for our walk along the boardwalk and saw a sample opf the crazy people living in LA! We then walked to the Santa Monica pier along the beach and watched the sunset which was amazing. On the Friday we went to Universal Studios with 2 Irish girls who we were staying in the same hostel. We went into the House of Horrors first which was actually quite scary and made us scream and jump. One of the worst parts was when we had to walk through dead bodies which were hung from the ceiling. We then went on the new Simpsons ride. It was a virtual ride but felt pretty realistic, we had water splashed on us too whenever we went into water. After lunch we went on the Universal Studio tour which was really interesting. We saw Hysteria Lane which is in Desperate housewives and it looked much smaller in real life than on TV. There were quite a few cool car graphics which we saw too. We then went on the Jurasic Park ride which was hilarious. It was like a log ride and when we went down the vertical drop we were al;l pretty scared but loved it. Suhanya and Irene got pretty wet as they were on the edge. The next ride was the Mummy ride which was really fun. We first went forward really fast on a roller coaster type of ride and then we suddenly came to a stop. The next minute we knew we were going backwards really fast! We saw the Backdraft and

Shrek 4D shows which were cool. We then went on the Universal Citywalk which was fun, it was like being in Las Vegas with all the lights.

The next day we went on the city tour. We drove through Santa Monica and then headed do Mulholland drive to see Famous people's houses. We saw Leonardo
Di Caprio's house, Meg Ryan, John Travolta, the Fresh Prince of Bel-air house, the Playboy mansion and many more. We went to Beveley Hills and went on Rodeo Drive. Sadly we couldn't just pop into all the designer shops but we did walk through Tiffany's. Later we got the bus down to Hollywood and saw the build up to the Oscars. We saw some of the stars on the floor but didn't realise they went on for 20 blocks.

That night we took our flight to Miami. When we arrived we got a bus to the beach and had lunch in a cafe near the beach. We had Granola and Mamosa for breakfast which was yummy. We then headed to the beach and stood in the sea which was amazing and clear. We wished we could have stayed longer and went swimming in the sea. We then headed to Wet Willy's and had a few frozen cocktails which were delicious and pretty strong! We then sadly had to go back to the airport to get our flight to Lima.
