After a 6 hour flight from new York I arrived in Hollywood on the 18th sept. I pulled up at the hostel and the music was pumping, not the best start. I knew it was going to more of a party hostel but I was ready for my bed and some sleep. They showed me to my room which was really cramped, 6 bed dorm. There was just enough room for my bag and then I was given a top bunk. I haven't been on a top bunk since I was little. All made better when 2 of the girls asked me for a drink in the bar. All fine now.
19th sept - got 2 buses to Venice beach it was sunshining when I left Hollywood but when i got to the beach it was cold and foggy. Had a walk around, very mad place lots of homeless and hippies. Saw the muscle beach area no nice men just meatheads. By this point the sun had come out so spent the rest of the day on the beach which was lovely. Caught the bus back around 4pm but got caught in traffic on way back as their was a film premiere on for a new animated film with an owl think it is legal guardian or something. Took a few photos of celebs who I hadn't a clue who they were but someone else pointed them out. Got an autograph from david whenham think i need to google the film and work out who i actually saw. Saw the Hollywood sign which was exciting. Didn't get back till 9pm and noticed I have a very sunburnt back. Got a walking tour tomorrow and leave Tuesday for Vegas. Looking forward to meeting up with Cheryl. Hope I am not boring you too much. Need to get photos sorted so it's not just me babbling.
