Hey guys,

Hello again... Arrived safely in La after an awful 15 hour flight from Bangkok, we barely slept, namely due to the guy in front snoring louder than anything i've ever heard before, ear plugs would have really come in handy! After waiting almost 2hours to get through customs we were finally in La, how exciting!!!!

First 2 days we were at a hostel in West Hollywood, not bad but we really found it hard sharing a room with 4 other people, people coming and going at all hours, snoring etc... for the first 2 nights we slept maybe 2hours, still jetlagged and exhausted it was really terrible our body clock was way out of wack. we were getting up at 2am going for 3hour walks, watching tv etc and all day we were so tired but could not get to sleep...... Anyway We moved to another hostel yesterday in the middle of sunset and hollywood boulivard so we're right in the middle of all the action. Met 2 fellow aussie guys who we have decided to rent a car with on Saturday and head to Las Vegas, not any car by the way but a Hummer!!!! Pretty cool.

Hostel is really cool, 150 beds, free bbq's, cheap tours and free breakfast. Last night they had 8 comedians up in the bar performing and an all you can eat bbq.

L.a is different to what i expected, i was thinking there would be a lot more glitz and glamour but apart from all the neon signs and lights everywhere it really is quite normal, no moviestars seen as yet. There is a lot of poverty, everywhere homeless people sit, sleep and ask for spare change, its quite sad.

There are 2 clubs right next to our hostel, one of them is frequented by "famous" peole like Paris Hilton and the paparatzi are always outside so thats pretty cool, all night cars were driving by our window blaring with hip hop music and police sirens are constantly around.

Today we are catching a bus to venice Beach and staying between there and Malibu until Saturday when we will head to las Vegas....
