Hello all from Aussie.

We're still in Melbourne and are moving hostels today - we're going to the "Ritz", free pancakes everymorning was it's selling point for us!

We've had such an amazing time already in sunny Melbourne. The first day here was our laundry day and suffered major jet lag from our flight but Nic still managed to go out with the guys in our dorm. Sam on the other hand was a misery guts and went to bed. Nic managed to fall over and her whole ankle has swollen up, even now it's still sore but is has improved. The joys of alcohol!

Sam went sightseeing the next day and went to St Kilda beach and into Melbourne city. Sam wondered down to Yarra river and stopped off at Fitzroy Garden and saw the fairy tree - pics to follow soon (we're having trouble finding places that allow us to upload them).
That night Nic and Sam went out with the guys from our dorm; James and Connor, which was an interesting night. We went to Elephant and Wheelbarrow pub which was a British pub (yep, we can't get enough of our English pubs) but it had no atmosphere. We split up as Nic didn't fancy going onto a club so Sam and James went to Trafik which ended at 5am. Sam and James met some crazy Aussie people and randomly there was a wedding party! Now this place wasn't great so I'm a little confused as to why they had there venue there!
Nic didn't feel great so headed to bed.....

Our last day here we went to St Kilda festival which was pretty good. There were bands and various side shows like motorbike stunts etc and loads of burger vans, yummy. We mooched about there all day and managed to get sun burnt. Our factor 25 is rubbish. Sam has a red forehead (as I haven't already got enough wrinkles there!) and Nic has a very red back and feet. Needless to say our backpacks are going to hurt us today on our mission to the other hostel.
Last night was a crash and burn (literally!) and went to bed at 10pm!!! We still managed to wake up late as our check out was 10am - the same time that we woke up.

Not much more to say, like we said we're still around in Melbourne until Thursday when we head to Hobart in Taz. So we'll update you more when we are there.
