Two flights to get here! Arrived in afternoon of Monday. Staying at Circus Circus which is South Las Vegas strip. It's a bit far from the main part but a bus stop is right outside our hotel so it makes it pretty easy! Our hotel has everything, 4 casinos, a theme park with a roller coaster, restaurants, a little stage for circus show, sports bar! It's pretty cool. The casino is pretty old but they have just done up the rooms. Our room gets a great view of the strip, looks amazing lot up at night! On Tuesday it was Jackson's birthday. We hung out at our casino for a little while but then caught the bus to the north part of strip and started checking out casinos like Luxor, New York New York, we went through Madame Tussauds wax museum were we saw actors like Will Smith, singers like Snoop, sporting champions like Muhhamid Ali and of course the president of USA, Obahma! Now it was time for Jackson's birthday surprise! Blind fold and all I lead Jackson into a room in another hotel "The Tropicana" were he got a private welcome dance. After only a minute, Jackson rips off the blindfold to discover 3 friends from Sunbury in the room- Brad, Adam and Brent! Jackson was so amazed and it made his day! So we've gambled (not too much) continuous drinking (frozen alcoholic cocktail in novelty cups are our favourite) eating, walking into any casino we like! We also saw the Fremont Street Experience which is a street with casinos and street concerts and the Viva Vision canopy and light show. The street is covered in a LED canopy which acts a street long screen! We watched tributes to Bon Jovi , Queen & a 70's band we couldn't get the name of! We also tried our luck on the roulette table but walked away empty handed! Nics lucky numbers to choose are 8, 10 and 26 all reflecting on our birthdays and our age! Jacks number is 8! Not so lucky we've decided. We have played on the pokie machines too, there is a large variety! Vintage ones with the lever, computerised ones and so many different themes! The last night was a big one! Pre drinks of vodka and red bulls in the boys hotel room Roulette, Black Jack, happy hour 1/2 price drinks, Coyote Ugly bar at New York New York! We slept over at the boys room as we had originally only booked 4 nights for Vegas so weakly woke up a bug sorry for ourselves on Saturday! We all went to the airport boys heading for New York and we picked up our Dodge Charger for our 6 day road trip!

Pooja Hey Dean! I love this post. My friend and I yeaetrdsy ran 50 miles in the Grand Canyon (South rim to north rim and back to the south rim again) in 21 hours! Unfortunately there were a ton of vehicles and less people on the trails. Probably from the heat. Experiencing and exploring the national parks and getting away from the lodges and cars is exactly what people need.I was also in Yosemite about 4 weeks ago and there were a ton of people there. We were suppsed to climb El Capitan but had a friend get hurt instead. Oh well we ran Half Dome instead and saw a ton of people on that trail! So awesome and so exciting!
Cami Excellent round up. I learned to traevl alone years ago when I had to traevl 3 weeks of the month for the large bank where I worked. I now traevl alone occasionally for conferences and always love it because I get to do what I want to do, which always doesn't mesh with my husband.
