Hanoi and Halong Bay

Hanoi was very busy and hectic. Had a good wander around the old town, some of the temples/mausaleom/markets etc. and the water puppetry show. Decided to get out of town pretty quick though, and spent a fantastic couple of days on a boat in Halong Bay.

Very beautiful place with Limestone rocks jutting out off the water, and massive caves. Highlight was kayaking into an enclosed area early one morning with no other tourists around. Very tranquil!

Then headed straight off on a sleeper bus down the coast to Ninh Binh.
