hello again, been a busy couple of days, did my second skydive (courtesy of the devlins, thank you) yesterday and it was amazing. Did 15,000ft (about 5km), you go so hight that you have to take oxygen masks with you. this time it was brilliant, because i'd done it before i could take more in (plus because we went so high you freefall for about 60 seconds, quite a long time at 200km per hour). I dived (dove?) over lake taupo, it's a volcanic lake one and a half times the size of singapore (interesting fact hey?). the dive went without a hitch and was brilliant, so i now have another t-shirt to add to my collection. Nic came along to watch,.however once she saw my DVD (which is really good, they send someone out of the plane to film you, so you get very dramatic shots) she decided that she wants to do another now (literally just for the DVD and T-shirt) se keep your eyes peeled on the photos. Today was supposed to be a pretty tame day, we booked to go to something called rock and ropes, it's like a big krypton factor assault course, now that always looked easy on the tv but my god was i petrified, this totally took me by surprise because i've done so much leaping off things from great hights, i thought it would be a breeze. I have never been so scared in my life. basically you climb 15m high poles, and once at the top there is some terrifying thing to walk accross (or in the case of the trapeze leap to!!), my heart is still going. I wouldn't say i enjoyed it but i do have a great sense of achievement that i didn't give up (honestly it was close at times). By the way Nicola found it well easy, i just don't understand that girl (though she did have a spontanious crying fit after the trapeze). Hopefully nic should be sky diving tomorrow, i'll update the site with some of her photos, after that we should be goind for a walk to the thermal river to take a dip (should be good), then maybe off to the petting zoo (it's for kids really but nic wants to cuddle a lamb? ok, so do i). hope everyone is well and see you soon (i like saying that cos it's true now).
