That pictures not me unfortunately!!
Ok so think my blogs are going to get shorter and its gonne make less and less sense so enjoy.
27th - Woke up on a couch, bodies sleeping everywhere, part of me wondering who the hell are all these people, but soon remembered that they were all Fiona's friends, who had so nicely let my stay over on the couch. Spent the morning dossing about on the couch with them all watching England thumping the Aussies in the ashes, was still shaking from the night before...we then explored the tenderness of our stomachs by ingesting something resembling chicken....(KFC), which actually appeared to do the job....hooray for greasy fat in the mornings. That afternoon, i spent more money on clothes than i think i did all of last year (approximately 30 pounds), in the ozzy sales. The weather stayed same as day before, typical ozzy weather of rain (does this mean maybe we'll get their sunshine this summer??). The evening consisted of me watching a film doing b***** all, which was great, exactly the treatment my body needed after the last few days!
28th - Off to Brisbane for a day out today with my two cousins. Caught the train, down with my right foot resembling big foots due to a cricket injury, so i was limping worse than LA wannabe gangster rapper! Walked around for a bit, saw the South Bank, which had you usual 'hip' bars, but seemed nice none the less, got my cultural fix at the Queensland Museum, of course it was also school holidays still, so there were flocks of school children in there, running around like kids in a sweet factory (although at the museum it tended to be them legging it for the exit, but the parents leashing them back in). Then went for Asian, where we bbq'd our own meat which was tasted good, but i wasn't sure what half of it was. That night was a family night in consisting of Indian food and Playstation, didn't know i'd get so competitive on electronics!!
29th - Down to Miami, in Surfers Paradise today, to see my other cousin, where his parents were actually staying. Arrived at a lush set of apartments, where my cousin was living, did the usual introductory small talks, my uncle and aunty from Deception Bay chatting to my aunty and uncle from Wales, as if they'd known each other for 30 years. Afterwards had a BBQ at like 5pm, before quick nap, then me and cousin went for drink......Also i've come up with a theory with Australian beers, they say they drink alot bla bla bla. But thats because their most popular beer is like 3.5% and they don't drink pints they drink schooners. So basically they actually drink less and its not as strong...go out and drink 12 PINTS of STELLA, then tell me you can drink....whimps!!
30th - Cousin was working, so thought i'd go check the beach out and have a swim. The beach was stunning, although i noticed that it was mainly for the 'beautiful' people, so i stuck out worse Australian on a football pitch. I think i got away with it though, i only had 3 children throw ice cream at me to make me look sweeter. Had a coffee in the little shopping strip, and people watched for a while...it appeared no one actually works here (i know its still holidays, but my cousin was working so....). That night we had another BBQ, with my cousin's, brothers, friends come down to visit, so of course had mandatory drink at 5pm followed by standard BBQ, followed by standard sleep.
31st - NYE, the most overrated night on the planet, didn't seem any different over here. In the day i went into Surfers Paradise itself..Got there by local bus, enjoyed a kids version of singing ACDC, on no wait he was just screaming, sounded good though!! Its a great town, from afar looks like a city in the comic books, it stands out so much. Can be quite pretentious, and the song 'beautiful people' by Maralyn Manson has never been so relevant, but with there being so many 'beautiful people'..it had its perks ;). My cousin came and joined me for a bit, and we just sat and relaxed, people watched at a beach side bar, before heading back. Then new years eve itself. We went to a friends flat for pre pre party drinks, before going to the pre party, then went to the party itself. Party was a bit of wet dog, although had god view of the flares they were firing up.....oh no sorry i think they were fire works, but anyway, that was a bit lame, and represented a morgue but were the bodies had been propped up next too each other wearing the same clothes, playing bad music. So me and my cousin slipped out and went to the Casino, i made $10 dollars, so bought us a special drink!! Casino's must have the most variety of people in any one night spot. You have the young girls trying to find sugar daddies, or the ugly rich guy, young men who might shark on the older women, and just the general older single men and women trying to find...well...anyone. We had alot of fun here, before proceeding to another bar (oh NYE's happened we didn't notice it, we were outside chatting to some girl??). There we ended up going off to a random party afterwards dancing like idiots on a balcony...to finish this story...I got to bed the next day at 8am, New Years Day
1st - NYD. This one can be summed up very quickly.....was raining all day, i felt like a sloth that hadn't slept since for his whole life, had breakfast, which actually was a greasy thing advertising said it was beef?? I dunno, then went back to flat, watched tv/slept/tv/slept/tv/slept...This day was a write off!
What a way to see in the New Year...everything looks the same, except Australia is having the worst rain in 150 years and THATS the year i choose to come....I'm owed one somewhere down the line!! My new years resolution, is not to make any resolutions!!
