Hello everyone
Hope you're all well. Just back from Western Australia. Had a fantastic time, so natural beautiful over there, not so commercialized as the east coast.
We arrived in Perth late at night and fell straight asleep at our hostel. The next morning we visit Scarbourgh and had pleasant breakfast, then went on to Cottelsloe beach to catch some sunrays. After getting a bit of a suntan we continued on to Fremantle (Freo to the locals) and check in to our hostel and made some friends and headed out for the night and had great one.
The next morning we went on a whale watching tour! We saw lots of whales and saw 7 tails, on the way back to the Fremantle harbour there was a whale right next to the boat and gave us a little wave, was excellent. Then we headed straight for Margaret river. stopping at some beaches on the way.
We arrived at Margaret River and checked into our fab hostel. That night we went out for a lovely pub dinner. The next morning we went on a wine tour, Wine for Dudes, where we visited 4 wineries, Olive Oil factory, Cheese factory and Chocolate factory. We had a great Kiwi tour guide and on the way back he brought us to a beautiful surf beach were there are numerous great white sharks, so we didn't go for swim. Also on the way home we saw some lizards and Red Kangaroos.Margaret River was so beautiful really green with hundreds of wineries, it reminded me of Tuscany in Italy. Mum would have loved it.
We drove back to Perth and stopped off at best beach we visited in WA this time anyway, Eagle Bay Beach, very seculed and untouched. We arrived in Perth and i took a walk around, not much to Perth just another city, but the surroundings are amazing.
Back in Melbourne and got some more lessons and solo gig, that happened last night which went well. Off to the Melbourne Cup in a couple of weeks, its Spring Racing Carnival season over here now. Off to New Zealand for Christmas in 9 weeks so looking forward to that. I'm getting ready for the Christmas concerts at Caulfield and at Music works with my students, so I'm singing the Christmas songs already!
Love to all
Niamh
