Hello everyone, so it's been a few days since I blogged anything . Here is an update of my last few weeks in Cape Town. I'm glad to report that I was able to conduct workshops on anger management (thanks Ruth for the teachings;), conflict resolution and Abuse. The ladies responded well to all these topics and they felt safe enough to share their own stories during group sessions. We continue to use mandalas as a way of expressing themselves with drawings and color. Today was my last day at St. Anne's and we had an extra "dance class". The dance class was very fun:), I got to teach the ladies how to dance salsa, regaetton, and Arabic music. The ladies truly enjoyed the lesson and they taught me new South African moves;). I feel very fortunate that I had the chance to spend this time with the ladies and their children. It's amazing how a short term experience like this can teach you so much. I have exchanged emails with the ladies and we plan on staying in touch. I have met wonderful people in this journey and I'm glad that I have made new friendships that I know will last a lifetime. Next stop is England. I will be blogging from there. My last cheers :( from Cape Town, South Africa.

Charo Yeah! The first part of your trip has been completed. Unforgettable experience! Those children and the ladies have left a indelible memory in you; and vice versa. I am sure the next step is big also, since the moment you arrive to London… Wish you the best, and enjoy your life!
