If you are going on long distances on the buses you get a food token with your ticket and you stop half way and get a Thai dinner, its basically like a big school canteen. We got the bus from Bangkok up to Ayuthaya, the bus dropped us off somewhere in the town but we couldn't figure out where we were on the map, we walked for ages in the boiling heat with our rucksacks searching for the street with all the guesthouses, I could barely manage to carry my rucksack by the time we got to the guesthouse. Today we have been to the Grand Palaces and Wat Phra Kaew. These building were nothing like I have ever seen before. Wat Phra Kaew is also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Inside is a small sculpture of Buddha carved from jade, this is a sacred to Buddhists. The temple was very grand and adorned with gold and mosaic of different colours.
