Mum said that my last blog was too boring so I thought I would write about some more amusing things which have been going on:
Massages:
Six of us went to have massages, three girls in one room, three boys in the other. Good job we divided it by sex as the people doing the massages did not know what they were doing! The boys had their bums out and all of the girls had their boobs looked at.
Football:
Took all the kids to see a football match last weekend, which involved a thunder storm and riot police! When Cusco scored the fans threw stuff onto the pitch and the manager of the other team was hit. He was escorted off the pitch with riot police shields over him and ice on his head. He did decide to come back on at some point though, I think just to stir things up. There was a red card and about three other yellow cards. Finally, the players had to use the tunnels next to their opponants fans which meant that the riot police had to create extra long tunnels using their riot shields and even then the players left the pitch at a run to make sure they werent hit by anything!
Football 2:
I played football the other day. I felt this needed including since it may be the first time ever! I did feel like dorothy in the wizard of oz though as the kids are so small i felt like I was in the land of munchkin men for an hour! Not as noticable when playing in the orphanage as when trying to tackle someone half your size and not crush them!
LLamas:
Seen loads of them already but I actually managed to HUG one at the top of a hill the other day! It was casually munching the grass but I know it appreciated it as much as I did! Plus, for anyone who remembers but I have had the llama song we wrote in music in year 8 in my head since leaving copacabana and the copacabana song left my head!
....i had a little llama, it was a little blue....
Generally though my life is less than rock and roll at the moment. I have been to the same vegetarian restaurant for lunch three days in a row and have done a little hiking around Cusco. Afternoons spent with the kids before heading back to the apartment for either a few drinks out or a night in front of the Glee series I bought in La Paz! Lovely having a kitchen for a change though, and a room to myself! We have two pet cats and a pet rotweiler which is bigger than most of the orphans!
