After lovely breakfast in the Pod House it was time to go Husky Sledging. Patrick the guide was great and really passionate about his dogs. He was more than happy to answer all our questions. The weather was perfect, blue skies and sunshine. Got our snow shoes on and into the forest for a trek. Well deserved afternoon tea in the Pod House afterwards. Chill time in the pod watching the sun go down with a vodka and a game of monopoly. Dinner at Les Verniers, ...

Train to Vallorcine then another train to Martigny then another to Monthey where we hopped on the bus to the Whitepods. Winding up the mountain with hairpin bends!! Pods were amazing lots of snow and fantastic views. Pod house was a cosy space to enjoy the views with afternoon tea or a beer. Head torch on for the trek down the hill for dinner at Les Cerniers and matching wines was delicious.

Amazing day in the mountains. Our 60 euro Mont Blanc ski pass paid for itself. First up to the top fantastic views 3842m high. Breathtaking literally at high altitude and -26 degrees. Next train up to Mer de Glace. Unfortunately glacier and caves closed due to weather. However very picturesque going up the mountain and we even saw a mountain goat. Next up the chair lifts at Brevent. Had a beer at the top. Freezing!!

After arriving at Geneva airport and eventually finding Harry E who drove us to Chamonix. Stayed at chalet Wymper. Small room but cosy with balcony with great views. First night meal in Chez Yang. Fair to say the worst Chinese we have had! Drinks at Chamonix Social Club. Good vibe but barman couldn’t understand Neil!!
