After another filling breakfast cooked by Jeet we had our tents packed up and where back on our cycles by around 8.30pm. We were woken as usual this morning at 6.30am with a cup of hot tea delivered to our door by Ayub, but now accompanied by W as well. When I peeked out of the tent door I could see a growing number of children gathering in the field we are camping in with quite a few with marigold garlands over their arms. We drive to the outskirts of Jaipur where we stop to collect our bikes and meet W who is joining us for the cycle leg of our trip. We are pleasantly surprised by the bikes as they are geared Trek mountain bikes. Today we visited the main sights of Jaipur, the Pink City. The old city is walled and the wall and inside buildings are all pink - or more terra-cotta really. We visited the old city, the Hawa Mahal a honeycomb looking building that overlooks the bustling bazaar (where we returned at the end of the day to do a bit of shopping ) We took some nice pics of the City Palace where the royal family still live.
