August 24th (Monday) - Day 175 - Bounty Island
Our transfer to Bounty Island was not until midday but we had to be out the room by 10. Hence we packed up and left our bags in reception. We didn't want to go too far either as it was high tide. We grabbed a couple of sun loungers and sat as close to the beach as we could. As the tide went out we kept sneaking closer to the water. The dogs kept getting underneath our seats so we had to keep pushing them off. On time (and not on Fiji time) our transfer arrived and where whisked over to Bounty Island. It was about half way back to Nadi. The boat couldn't get in close to the island as it was so shallow we had to wait for another boat to come out and meet us. This island was far more what I expected Fiji to be like. A small little sand island with a few little Bure's. We got lunch as soon as we were off the boat and then were shown to our Bure (hut). We then spent the whole afternoon in our hammock outside reading. That evening we made the most of happy hour then grabbed some dinner. After dinner we got treated to some singing and drank loads more cocktails even though happy hour was over.
August 25th (Tuesday) - Day 176 - Bounty Island
Spent the morning in the hammock reading. After lunch we grabbed a kayak and went for a paddle around the island. That only took about 30 minutes as it was so small. As it was a circle we had no idea if we were half way or all the way round. Spent the rest of the day in the hammock. Took advantage of happy hour cocktails and decided to drink more cocktails after dinner instead of listening to the singing.
