Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays. 20th-22nd December Ok, so we have been very bad at updating our blog since we left Cairns. This is due to 1. laziness 2. hopping about a lot on our travels 3. a lack of internet/or rubbish internet which is slow! Excuses over! We travelled from Cairns down to Airlie beach where we stayed at Magnums backpackers. The vibe was really chilled and we instantly loved it! So about time to fill you in again we think! Since the last blog we have continued being Aussie residents in Cairns, working and partying. We took a trip on the Kuranda Scenic railway which took us up into the mountains and past Barron Gorge which was a great sight although not as full of water as we had hoped! In January, when the wet season is here the waterfall is meant to be fantastic. We visited a sweet shop and watched sweets being made...and tried LOTS ...

Hey all, thought is was about time for a new update from sunny Cairns. Neil has now completed his 4 day PADI license and is now a certified diver. He hopes to take his advanced course soon once we have earned a bit more money. I have been very slack on the photos but will try my best this week to get it sorted. Thursday 15th October 09 Cairns 5:45pm Hey up all! Its been a while so thought i'd fill you all in! Arrived safely in Cairns and checked into a hostel for 3 nights to find our feet and get our bearings of the city! Saturday 3rd October 11:00am Alice Springs We have been a little slow on the blogs, we know. Thanks for the gentle reminder tho mother!! Since leaving Darwin last week we got a coach to Katherine. Not too much to do in this small town. We booked into a motel (only because i nearly died when we viewed the only other hostel available) and had a great night sleep after the best dinner in the world!
