OK, so i know i have missed the south island blog....but i will get there, thought id do the freshest first!!!

Ok, so we arrived! we left with a HUGE hangover from our last night in queenstown, NZ and flew to Auckland to connect to here. Neil was feeling very rough and I was not much better! The 1st flight we slept the whole thing through although my ears were very painful fr landing.
We had to wait nearly 4 hours at Auckland for th next flight but we managed to keep ourselves entertained trying tofind a travelex that exchanged into Chilean Pesos. The flight was good, we didnt get too much kip but tried very hard.
Landing time and we arrived at 12pm (which is 4 hours BEFORE we flew from Auckland...weird) of course we found hard to adjust to the time! we got a shuttle bus to our hostel that we had prebooked in provedencia. All going smoothly we checked in and got settled in our dorm room. We both fell asleep until 8pm and decided to get up fir a stretch of legs. Not much later we were back in bed, fighting mosquitos and asleep until 8am the next day.
We had our free brekkie and got the metro to the bus station to enquire about a bus to Mendoza, Argentina, only to find my visa was missing and i would not be allowed to leave chile without it!!! I was of course very impressed!! NOT! We were told that we would have to go to interpol on Monday when the bank hol wkend was over! GREAT!
So to try to make up for it we had a walk in Bellavista and went in a tram to the top of the San Cristobal hill, where i popped in to the church to day a few prayers. It was a lovely view of the city and a good atmosphere.
The next day was easter Sunday, so we knew it would be quiet in the city. We decided to vedge for the day (and the clocks went back too) so Neil watched a couple of films and i updated the blog! This morning we head to interpol, which wasnt so bad (luckily a girl whospoke english helped us out) and we had the vias within 10mins! Back to the hostel and we got ready to move on. The problem was we didnt know where to go or what our real plan was.................................
