The best decision Andrew made on this trip to date was the decision to fly here. Sometimes you can be lucky and get flights for nearly the same price as buses and in this case we did, so always check before getting your bus ticket. Ah lovely Ouro Preto! After another 25 hours on Brazilian buses, it was more than a pleasure arriving in this town. The only way to describe it is, like someone picked up a small town in Switzerland and dropped it right in the middle of Brazil. Honestly, we forgot we were even in Brazil. We survived the bus... Well just about. If you can try and get a bus in the morning. The heat in brazil especially in the height of summer is pretty intense and you don't want to be hopping on a long bus journey all sweaty and in need of a cold shower. Unfortunately for us, this is just what happened. At least Andrew and I got to sit beside each other, otherwise I would have pitied the person sitting next to either of us. It only took me two months to write my first blog post. Just been been having too much fun!!
