A whirlwind night in La Paz and a stopover at lake Titicaca. I'm still trying to work out how it is possible for such an enormous body of water to be sitting 4000m above sea level. On the four hour walk from the north to the South of the island, it was hard to remember that this was a lake and not the ocean, except for the inability to breathe properly at the high altitude.

From there to Cuzco, a sweet and vibrant town. Squeezing in between a couple of locals at the markets and eating a cheap meal is definitely turning into one of my favorite things to do,
and a great way to escape the majority of tourists.

Although I've been reluctant to partake in a tour, I knew that there would be a time when I must.

Two day tour. Day one consisted of visiting some various Inca ruins sights and sacred grounds. That night, I found myself on a train sharing stories and rum with two Peruvian tour guides who were also on there way to Machu Pichu.

Today I visited Muchu Pichu, one of the more special experiences of my life regardless of the crowds of tourists. A very special energy resides there that is almost impossible not to be sucked into. Whilst waiting for the sun to rise, I met a couple of Danish girls and couldn't believe my luck when I was offered a few sips of rum for the second day in a row. After the tourists had their token photos and ticked off the travel box that is 'Machu Pichu', most of them left. The afternoon was extremely peaceful and I was able to relax and absorb the magical energy.

It's been about two weeks away from Ghost. Markets, culture, history and rum.

I definitely feel it's time to continue with Ghost, who I'll be returning to in the next day or two.
