That is rain and the lightening coming from behind there. Here we go again. After the nice weather comes the Donna and blists. Loud and scary. It sounds like the van is actually folding in on itself.

Now will I be able to climb to day. My legs are feeling a little stiff. Blazes birthday. Arch had blisters on his paws so no running for him but as usual blaze was ready to go. So stu took him out on the bike round Eibsee and took some amazing footage for him running behind the bike. I think he had a good birthday weekend all in all.

Not quite making our 3.30 am start we managed to get going at 7am. 1hr 45m to the top of Jochberg. Not the hardest of walks but still very good. Only a few snow pockets left for the dogs to roll in. Quite a fair breeze at the top had our breakfast and then down the red route. Along a steep track of boulders and rubble we headed down.
