Not quite making our 3.30 am start we managed to get going at 7am.
1hr 45m to the top of Jochberg. Not the hardest of walks but still very good. Only a few snow pockets left for the dogs to roll in.
Quite a fair breeze at the top had our breakfast and then down the red route. Along a steep track of boulders and rubble we headed down. A guy on a motor bike came outta know where to cautiously go past us. We only saw 2 other people on this route so it must be a bit harder.
The sun was starting to burn as we made it down to the lake and the water was looking very appealing but even the harden German swimmers weren't so we decided not to get hyperthermia and head back to the van.
5hours in all not bad.
We got back to the van as the heat was getting upwards of 30 to find the car park bumper to bumper. Luckily we weren't in a hurry to move as there were cars park at 45 degree angel up the verge.
After a few hours we left for Garmisch to go and stay.
