Ok, so as expected we've got a bit behind with our blog in the cazyness of travelling and it's now been a few weeks since we've updated our blog, so here's gonna be (hopefully) a brief summary of the rest of our time in Australia (taking into account Nats writing this so you i can never be too brief ;)). So here goes...
Day 7 we woke up in Brisbane (7am- way to early for my liking!) and debated about whether to get the early bus from the hostel that was leaving in half an hour to the Australia Zoo. We decided not to do this and make our own way a little later so that we could get a bit more kip n not have to rush out. So we left and got the train to the Zoo, me- very excited!! Not been to a zoo since i was a kid so on my top list of things to do, and Paula very excited to see koalas and hoping to get a cuddle. So on our way i was pretty gutted to find my camera stopped working. But either way was gonna take loads of photo's with Paulas. The day was great, saw Koala's, Kangaroos, wombats, Tazmanian devils (cute little tubby things that looked like bears that waddled along- not what we were expecting haha) and loads more. We both cuddled a koala!! very cute but a tight grip, and lay with the kangaroos as they snoozed. Saw a crocodile show with Steve Irwins family in. Very OTT- "what a beauutyyy!", but funny. So enjoyed our day and then headed back to our hostel - a bit of a palarva because the trains were'nt running properly so eventually got back about 4 hours later. Met a few English American and others on the way who kept us company though.
One thing forgot to mention was our Hostel here - sweat box! A 13 bed room heated with the smell of feet circulating from the airconditioning. The majority were guys in there- might explain abit, but the second night so bad. A part from that seemed like a cool place though- good facilities and a bar downstairs. Enjoyed our short stay in Brisbane anyhow and was off to Noosa the next morning!
