We arrived at Christchurch and settled into Charlie B backpackers. After a night out to dinner, we arranged for a coach to go to Lake Wanaka the next morning so as Nat could do a sky dive!! As soon as we arrived at Lake Wanaka (6 hours after departing Christchurch), Nat did her sky dive- 12,000 ft over the mountains and lakes! Lake Wanaka was really picturesque with lots of tourist shops and plenty of walks and beautiful scenery.

After two nights at Lake Wanaka, we moved onto Queenstown. On our first night there, we went on organised bar crawl around the main bars in the area. It was a really fun night and the drinks were very cheap :)

The following day we enjoyed a game of indoor mini golf and a ride on a gondola. The views were amazing from the top. Our hostel even had its own hot tub so we enjoyed spending late afternoon in that! We went to dinner and for drinks at the World Bar.

After a couple of days at Queenstown, we headed back to see Christchurch properly. We bought tickets for the traditional old fashioned tram and looked in the Cathedral, arts centre and botanic gardens. We found an amazing traditional fudge shop!

Our final day at Christchurch was spent punting on the River Avon in the morning which was really relaxing. We spent the afternoon in the Christchurch museum before heading to watch Gone Baby Gone at the cinema. Christchurch is very pretty with a traditional atmosphere.
