After a numerous amount of attempts, we are pleased to inform you all that we have seen the sights of Bangkok!!! We are most impressed with ourselves, and took lots of pics to prove it! We went to see the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha and Wat Pho (reclining Buddha). We started in the grounds of the Grand Palace, very gold and sparkly, like a giant handbag! As per usual, there was a multitude of Japanese tourists swarming round taking a million pictures....

After a long journey we arrived in Bangkok (again). Staying near our fave watering holes (that's all of them) and going to see the sights tomorrow (finally!) Kate and James are arriving on Tuesday (our fave people), then we're travelling en masse to Full Moon central, Koh Phangan! Fantastique!

Our plan was to try to do the journey to Cambodia today, but due to the border only being open til 5pm, we decided to stay in Bangkok overnight and see the sights in the afternoon. Train got in from Chiang Mai around 1.30pm, over an hour late.Then ended up getting in the worst taxi ever, driver did not know his way around Bangkok and ended up taking us to the other side of the city. Terrible sorry we haven't updated much anna but we actually haven't been awake that much. Don't know what time zone our sleep pattern is in - outer koalia or somewhere! We've arrived in Bangkok, still on English time, so we've been awake half the night and asleep all day! got up about 3 hours ago, and have come to Khao San Road where all the other backpackers are.
