Hi everybody!!!!

Ok so it feels like forever since i last wrote anything on here so i have to cast my mind back a fair bit!

The trip in Cape Town which took my around the Cape Peninsula was phenominal. We were driven through wine regions which are beautiful (but with that it is easy to see how slavery was needed and how it took off in these areas). We also visited a little town called Simons Town where we saw African penguins! in fact i have even managed to film a couple making sweet affectionate penguin love(their monogamous you see)! David Attenbrugh eat your heart out! We went to Cape Point which is the most south westerly point and where the 2 oceans meet - Indian and Atlantic. I saw the other prison in which my mte Nels spent 7yrs after Robben Island - funnily enough this is a high security prison and is located in one of the most prestigious suburbs. Next to it is the best private school and the American Embassy which claims to withstand a nuclear bomb...yeah thats what i thought!

I also saw the hospital where the 1st successful open heart transplant occured and also the bay in which Dave and Vicky Beckham have a house alongside Oprah Winfrey and the Cruize's!

Ok after that i met the group with which i have been travelling with! There are 16 of us and they are all fantastic people of all age groups! I am the youngest at 21 and the oldest are 3 jerryatrics at 69!!! i know...but they are hilarious! We all travel on a big truck called Songwe and we have individual lockers for our huge bags.There are tables and fridges on the truck too so dont worry i have been keeping my water and beer very cool! haha, only joking i dont drink beer, its wine that's taking up most of the space!

Before leaving Cape Town we were taken on a Township tour - this was very emotional! We saw 3 families of 4 living in a room measuring 2m x 3m with no electricity or clean water. The walls are filthy and somehow (i dont know how) they are still producing more children that share this space! We ate some food with them in the local shack but to be fair it was difficult to stomach anything after what we had just seen. These flats were built by the government during the apartide periods to accomodate the different ethnic groups but they are simply appaling! South Africa will be hosting the 2010 world cup and so plans are in progress to develop the city - that means building flashier houses in front to shade the townships! Our first night was spent by the Elephants river in a wine region where we got to taste the local product - it was delicious! We then moved to the Orange river where we camped on the south African side - the opposite bank belongs to Namibia! And finally the next day we crossed the border! From here we drove to Hobas where we camped again - these guys had a pool and some very very big baboons who wondered round freely!!! Namibia is the most gorgeous place! We have been driving for 12hours on end without a building or soul in site- just pure desert! It host the oldest and tallest sand dunes in the world of which we have had to chance to climb and watch sunrise from!

We were taken to a farm which has 6 cheetahs and a leopard called Lisa. we even got the opportuinity to get up close and personal with these wild animals and stroked them! this really was a life changing experience!!! Cant even begin to describe that!

Now we are in Swakopmund the adrenalin city of Namibia where i have sandboarded down 150m dunes and quadbiked across hundreds of acres of dunes! I even managed to flip a 250cc bike BUT MUM AND DAD - IM OK!!! didnt call to tell as i dint want to worry you!
