Well, Im loving Melaka! Not only is it the nicest hotel we have stayed in so far, (it has a jacuzzi on the roof, a bar downstaires, and a huge bath in our room!!!) but it is also a really nice little place. Its much smaller than the other places we have been and everyone is really relaxed and chilled out there. There is not much in the town, just a few of the tacky tourist shops which of course we love! There are also loads of these little tuk tuk style taxis which are covered in flowers and blast out music. Its the only way to travel there. There was also a huge swimming pool right next to the hotel where we all spent a few hours. The funny thing was that the guys were not allowed to wear their bermuda shorts and had to hire speedos! They were not very impressed. The girls were also not suppose to wear bikinis but somehow we all got away with it. (i think the fact that the lifeguards were all men had something to do with it.) We had lovely food in the bar downstaires and one of the waiters/security guards called Chum was really nice. He managed to remeber all 15 of our names after our first meeting. I also have a very funny video of him doing the Haka. (Mum you would have liked it!!!) We are sad to leave here because it is so calming and lovely, but off to Singapore next which will be fun. x x
