As you all know I am off on my travels tomorrow. As per usual I am only just packing now! I'm excited but nervous. I've never been to America before (I'm hoping I like it or the next 4 weeks might be difficult!) so I'm not sure what to expect really. I've never done trekking before so it's a completely new adventure for me! I read a quote yesterday that said
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!"
Safe to say that sums up my feelings right now!
As many of you know the last couple of months have been emotional to say the least. I haven't mentioned it on social media until now as I'm quite private about some things but I feel it's appropriate now. My wonderful Gran became ill in July and sadly passed away but I was in the privileged position to be able to nurse her with my family in the last few days of her life. Going through such a life changing event makes you reevaluate your life, your goals, your aspirations in life and what's important. Grandma knew I was going on this trip and told me that I ought to see the world while I was young enough to enjoy it, and in her memory I will.
I promise my future blogs on my trip won't be as heart wrenching as this, I will make sure I puts lots of pictures on Instagram and snapchat as I go along my journey and keep this as up to date as Internet access will allow.
