Day 18 we arrived in Singapore late last night.the main purpose of our trip was for Sarah to meet some of Dave's family.they kindly offered to pick us up from the airport and took us to our hostel.the hostel we are staying at is called betelbox it seems friendly with very helpful stuff,we get free breakfast too which is a plus :) today we arranged with Karen (dave's auntie) and her family to picks us up and go to the zoo and then me and Sarah decided to stay on for the night safari. It was so kind of them to come with us and it made the day far more fun as they all know the zoo pretty well. The zoo was AMAZING if you ever visit Singapore it's a must do!!it's by far the best zoo I have ever been to it is huuuuuge (we walked around for 6 hours and only just about covered it) animals have their areas which are then surrounded by water to seperate them from tourists rather then cages...it's mad how close they are to you I was pretty worried expecially when the tiger went for a swim in the water which separated him from us LOL. My favourite bit was seeing at least ten different types of monkeys...god I want one sooooooooo much!! In the afternoon Karen and Troy invited us back for dinner at their place and to meet rest of their family. The dinner was so yummy best beef stew ive rver had!!At night we returned for the night safari which I found a little bit scary walking around the zoo in the dark is a bit past my comfort zone there was an option to walk through a closed off area where you have the bats flying around I stayed outside while Sarah braved up and walked through...NUTTER!!! The night safari show was really good thou and sitting on the tram going around with a guide was good too I was slightly more relaxed LOL after we decided to take a taxi back as we were both very zooed out I think we didn't get back till gone middnight. Day 19 today we got up at 9 and decided to spent the day at Santosa island...our first day at the beach eeeeeekk.the island was something incredible to see it must be the most man made island ever I don't think they could get any more attractions on it if they tried: aquarium, cable cars connecting to main land, tiger tower (aparently highest point), zip wire, go karting, fake wave machines for surfing, indoor bungee jumping....and anything you can name!! We decide to go to the aquarium which was ace we saw many sea creaters and even dolphins :) after we decided to enjoy the beach as it was the first beach we have come across and went for a swim and tanned for the afternoon!! In the evening we were joined by another girl in the hostel Emmanuela, the 3 of us grabbed some street food and then headed for the fountain and skybar. The fountine is the largest fountine in the world as we got there they were doing a laser show pretty cool to see. We of course took hundreds of pics and then set off for skybar. Now boys and girls this was something to see 57th floor of the marina bay hotel even Shearer would be stunned at this place by far the outragous place I have ever seen the club on the roof top even had a swimming pool it was AMAZING!! We aparently weren't dressed to get in but they let us to the roof top to take photos which was still well worth the trip there. Back at hostel I thought I'll sleep like a baby but we are staying in a 16 bed dorm and one of the girls snores so loud!!!LOL Day 20 this morning we decided to sort our bus tickets out as we need to make our way back to Thailand this eve. We looked into flying to koh samui but it would cost about £300 pounds instead we decided to travel on a budget a 14 hour overnight bus to Hat Yai for about £20 and from there we can aparently get another bus and ferry to koh samui for about £10. After booking tickets we took a wonder around little India which was very cool they had the most gorgeous saris and pashminas. I came across a dress stall and saw THE DRESS it was beatiful and only £5 I wanted it so much but I didn't have much money left it was the dress or food. I even said to Sarah 'i might just buy this dress and not eat?!' LOL after much reasoning I decided to leave the dress behind and use money to buy dinner :( booooo. Im the afternoon May (dave's auntie) took us to the travel agents. At 7pm we boarded our bus it seems pretty comfy wide reclyining seats...I'm sure I won't agree 2moro morning LOL.
