¡Aventura Latina!
So I escaped across the border to Puerto Iguacu in Arentina to find some people that I could actually communicate with!!
In fact not only did I find myself being able to talk to Spanish speakers, randomly I also ended up arriving at the same hostel on the same day as Ian, a English guy Id met in Romania! He's been travelling since I left him back in September 2003 so it was great to catch up!
After a scorcher of a day yesterday, now its overcast but warm and its not raining so Im not complaining, especially after today......Incredible.
Absolutely incredible.
The Iguacu Falls comprise 275 waterfalls, culminating in the magnificent and deafeningly powerful 'Devils Throat'. The falls are shared by Argentina and Brazil and today I visited the Argentinian side which gives an 'up close and personal' view of the falls.
After wandering amongst the waterfalls we did a jeep tour followed by a go in a speedboat that took us right under one of the falls for a bit of refreshment!
The falls really were incredibly impressive and I was wondering how the Brazilian side was going to compete with what Id seen today......however there was some eating and drinking to be done before then...!
