So i know the blog is a bit behind and there is a few weeks missing but we have no internet or very bad internet in Cambodia and i have been busy sorting all our many many pictures!!!
Our last trip though Cambodia ended here in Bangkok, ready for Sandys arrival here on the 6th!! Our first night in Bangkok was our farewell meal. Then the next day we had a quiet day going changing to our hostel which is very nice, we see Jade there as well who we met in Lao!!! We then walk to a famous shopping centre hundreds of shops altogther with Sally from our cambodia trip.
The next day we do very little there is free internet here and a washing machine all ver exciting things!!! Then wait for Sandy and wait and wait start to get a little worried when she is not here at 10 and her flight was due in at 6!!!! Really worried but the time she gets here at 11.30!!!!! Her flight was delayed then she couldnt find the hostel!!! But at least she is here!! It is great to see her she is the first person to visit us very exciting!!!
The next day we book an overnight bus for sunday down to koh samui which is meant to be amazing. We also book a day trip to the floating market river kwai and the tiger temple i cant wait!!! Today the friday the 7th we head to the reclinging budda and grad palace traveling there by water taxi!! The budda is huge my camera batteries die so we leave the palace for sunday as no point without a camera and out of the three of us i am the only one with one!!!!! We wander around the market there and eat some local food for lunch and manage to just avoid getting soaking wet!!!
An early start today off to the floating market on a day trip there are 3 other people with us to start off with one guy from sweden has already started on the beer and we sarted at 7!!! We get a speed boat part of the way to the market and he takes on two cans of beer!!!! We have a rowing boat around the market where most things are for sale from boats very interesting!!! The people selling things pull your boat to them use a stick with a hocks on them! We tried some coconut pudding very nice a bit like coconut flavored rice pudding.
After the market we went nearby where Sandy and sandra had an elephant ride then it was off to the river kwai for lunch on a floating resturant not as cool as some we saw that were actually floating down the river us didnt move. After lunch we headed to the rebuilt river kwai bridge we walk along it and saw the train that now goes across it without being blown up!!
Next it was a long drive to the tiger temple, well worth it. The tigers have a huge area that they can roam aorund in when people are not there we found the tigers down by a waterfall all looking a little sleepy but they did in africa during the day. I pay extra and get a spiecal photo holding the tigers head which was amazing if a little scary sat very close to a 90 pound tiger and had his head put in my hand and my other hand put on his back and told not to move and all i wantd to do was stroke him its like a giant cat!! Then he moved his head!! But that was fine and we got some great pics, Also went around the other tigers being lead by the hand like little children!! The other tigers we could stroke and one was lying outside down just like bramble so i had to have a picture with him! We then go and find the clubs very sweet 2 that are are 3 months and one that is 5. We are then locked up while the big tigers are bought up to the sleeping area a bit of a change around for us to be locked up!! We get talking to a girl that is volunteering there for a month sher says it is a really nice place and that the tigers are treated really well as it is run by monks and they will not hurt anything. Which is good to know. We go to the temple once we are allowed out and a monk there has us prayer to Budda and wants to have his picture taken with us!! But we must not sit higher than him or show him our feet or touch him!!! The temple is suprising as it is very basic not fancy at all. After this we head back to Bangkok it has been a very long day.
Today the 9th of november we end to the grand royal palace today and take some picture of it but dont go in. We wander along the street back to the ater taxi pier there is what looks a it like sunday market stalls along the road well iit is sunday!!!! We get back on water taxi and head for Khao san Road a famous road here be it day or night have been told by lots of people we must go there so we do. Once we get there we find out it is very near where we te the first night here in Bangkok With our group now why couldnt that useless Kompact told us that!!! zwe sit and have ie cream on the street while people watching. Then it is timeto head back to Lud D ready for the bus to pick us up to take us to the night bus down to Koh Samui. The bus that we were told was a sleeper bus but it was just a bus that the seat went back a bit on very uncomfortable bus!! They played a video when we first got on at 5.30 but we dint leave until about 6.30. We only got 1 video then the lighta were put out at 9!!! start to struggle to sleep just nodding off when the bus stops and all the lights come on and the driver kindy (not) tells us last stop last stop. Now why the hell did he have to say and do that!!! Dam him there was a toilet on the bus so no need to wake us up!!!! Dam the man. Finally get back to sleep when we arrive at the first pier at 6 to sit adn wait for an hour, waiting at the wrong pier as well so we when get on another bus for 45 mins to the right pier get chatting to a irish girl on there called Fran. We then get a catamara to Koh Samui i catch up on my sleep on it!!! Then after 20 hours we are finally at Koh Samuui!!!!
