Crazy...... The only thing on the news is about the situation between Israel, Palestine, and Lebannon. And those are the only words that I can recognize. The news shows very graphic photos of the situation in every country. I wonder how they compare to what is being shown in America. Most people that I've encountered recognize that Americans or Israeli's are not bad, but its the systems and institutions which are the problem. Last night I met someone who hated jews (not knowing of course that I am jewish). I tried to reason with him with my limited arabic. Explaining that everyone has a heart and we are all the same. I was planning on going to Lebannon, but I will spend more time in Egypt instead. I have been hanging out with shoe repairman. It's amazing how most shoes can be salvaged with a little bit of thread. i'm off to the souq (market) to buy an herb!
