On Thursday, Maggie & I are heading to Peru with JUGS (Just Us Girls) + 2. Maggie's brother, Victor and his partner, Hardy will be joining us along with Donna Marie & Cynthia, and Mary & Yamila.
Peru is the #1 destination on Maggie's bucket list and since she will be celebrating a milestone birthday in January (Peru's rainy season), we thought we would get a head start and check it off her list. How exciting for us that our friends and family wanted to come along on the adventure.
I visited Peru in the 80's and I'm sure much has changed there as have I, but it is somewhere I always wanted to revisit. The land of Shirley Maclaine's "Out on a Limb" and James Redfield's "Celestine Prophecy" holds special memories for me.
Our adventure includes Lima, the Lines of Nazca, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, part of the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon.
We'll have lots to write about in the coming weeks, pictures and videos to post - hopefully there will be wireless internet available.
