b****** , gutted that we lost on wednesday , thought we atleast deserved a draw . I Turned up here in Athens on the Thursday before the final , without a ticket , and only two changes of clothes . Thought i'd go straight to the stadium . Even after an 18 hour flight including transfer , i was buzzing to be in Athens . There was no security at all at the stadium , so i jsut walked straight in and had a look around . Not wanting to look to dodgey i went and sat with a guy in the stands who looked like a worker . Thought i'd blend in better . After talking to him for about 30 minutes , and telling him i wasn't working there , but just having a look around . He suggested i should have a run around on the pitch , which i did for about five minutes . Before getting bored and leaving .

By the Monday before the game i'd still not managed to find a ticket , and done nothing but go on the piss all night , Athens is a great place for it ! Back at the hostel that night , i met the guy i was talking to at the stadium . Turned out he was stopping in the room?3 down from me?. Telling him i still didn't have a ticket , he told me he might be able to sort something out for me , but should wait until tomorrow , and he'd let me no for sure .

Meeting him Tuesday night after another day on the piss , he let's me know he can get me in , and gives me a bag of official uefa clothes ( coat , hat , etc ) . As there's no ticket , but he's gonna give me his access all areas pass . Which will let me watch the match from the running track around the pitch . So i'd be able to stand with the cameramen on the edge of the pitch .

I couldn't get the pass until 10 minutes before kick off , as he still needed to set things up in the stadium , and needed it himself . He would then walk out of the stadium give me his pass , wait outside the stadium until the game was done , when i'd walk back out the stadium and give him his pass back , so he could go back in , and carry on doing his work !!!!

When it came to it , everything went smoothly . While fans were argueing outside the ground , i just flashed my pass and walked straight in . Then to get to the pitch i had to go through another secuity check , which i just walked straight through . Missed the first 5 minutes but watched the rest of the game from next to the pitch .

At the end of the game i spent about half hour walking round on the pitch , shaking hands with both teams players , watching the presentation and celebrations from amoungst it all . The most amazing night since i've been away .

Spent the rest of the time in Athens sleeping and recovering . I've got a video of the presentation and celebrations that's to big to put on this site . Didn't put it on until 5pm , so you won't be able to search for it straight away .
