Since I was 18 I have had this aim of visiting every country in Europe before I turn 31. Back then it seemed like a perfectly reasonable aim given I was about to set off on a two month trip around Europe visiting 10 countries. However, fast forward seven years, I am now 25, I only visited 7 countries in the past 7 years and I am almost permanently skint… Suddenly the task of visiting 30 countries in the last 5/6 years seems a lot more daunting and unrealistic than visiting 47 in 13 years did when I was 18.

My plans for this blog are first to document my previous trips showing the countries I have visited so far. I kept a travel diary on three longish trips which will be useful but unfortunately will have to work from memory for three other breaks. I then intend to use it to plan future trips all in the hope of motivating me to achieve this long held dream!
