You are surviving better than John, who has just spent a few days in hospital in Yaroslavl with concussion (don't ask!) He's much better now, should be out tomorrow. Mum and Dad good when I saw them a week ago. Couldn't resist one photo comment. Hope India is a suitable climax to your trip! Look forward to seeing you both eventually.

Hello Catharine & Paul, the flight to Singapore sounded awful. We have bought ourselves some earphones for the flight from London to Singapore in September, then onto Christchurch. O I forgot! The Rovos train journey from Cape Town to Pretoria was a great experience. We stopped off at Kimberly to see the dismount mine. It has inspired John to start his train set,he has 1 coach, 1 truck, 1 piece of track and buffers!!! Now designing layout!!

Just catching up on your blog. Wifi etc was rather random in SA. We have been back a week and just getting used to the cold and grey and wet weather. You are certainly having an amazing time. Just reading how many trains, planes and automobiles you have travelled in/on so far is mind boggling.
