Today we caught the bus and then the train into Amsterdam. Maxine decided that Mum should enjoy an afternoon off from the boys. So they sent Dad off with all us boys to Museum Nemo. The Nemo museum is very similiar to Questacom, but much larger. On the way we saw a van hanging over the edge of the harbour. Dad commented that he parks like Mum! Typical Dutch autumn weather greeted us this morning, overcast with patchy rain and wind. Today we drove up to the Zaansche Molenstad where there is still a few windmills that do various tasks. The first one was an oil mill that produced oil from peanuts. The cogs inside the were huge and the whole windmill performed several tasks at once. A truly wonderful day with a lovely German family. In the morning we all went to Jasmin's local shopping mall by bus. It was very similiar to our Westfield shopping mall at Tuggerah. Hamburg to Amsterdam All aboard the hamburg IC 2313 for our destination, Amsterdam. Our reservation for the journey had put us incorrectly into second class to the horror of Tom.
