Hallo Julie and Kirsty,
It is not to late to wish you both a very Happy and healthy 2007.
Looking at all the pictures you two have already taken, it seems that you are having a great time!! And after the bad weather when you arrived in Sydney, the sun is shining almost everyday now.
Enjoy every day and we will look every day for more news etc.
Greetings from all of us here in Holland Julie and Kirsty and enjoy the rest of your stay in Aussiland!!
Love from Oma & Opa Hemmes.

Good to hear from you Julie and glad to hear that you and Kirsty are having a ball! :) I can’t believe that you’ve been unlucky enough to have had poor weather as I recently heard that there had been a bad drought over there. You must have come in at the end of it. Still it sounds, from what you say, that it has improved now.
Your itinerary for the next couple of weeks sounds brilliant. I wish I was there (but maybe only if I was 30 yrs younger so that I could keep up! :) ). Since you're not able to get to the Internet for a time herewith is the approximate schedule for everyone’s interest; the order/dates may not be 100percent correct but it’ll give folk the gist of it :) :
1. Left Sydney on Wed 3rd on coach to Byron Bay
2. Spent a couple of days there and are now at Hervey Bay (today, 6th Jan)
3. In the next few days they're visiting the Whitsundays (islands) and Frazer Island (a huge sand bar, of an island, where they'll be camping, ‘four by fouring’ and eating sand for a few days!).
4. Then they have a few days on a very fast Maxi yacht called Condor. You can Google all these places and activities.
5. On Sunday 14th they'll be arriving at Townsville to take an aircraft to Melbourne. Both are spending around a week there although Kirsty will be returning a couple of days before Julie in order to get back to Sidney to meet Gregg.
I was also glad to hear that the backpacking accommodation has improved since the Sydney experience which, although being conveniently located was ‘controversially’ run by a somewhat ‘different’ character!!
Remember to leave a few empty tins and wrappers around so that the Aussies get a feel for what it’s like over here! :)
Take care, look after yourselves,
Frank and Rita

Hi there girls
Just a quick message as we are still wide awake to Wish you both a Very Happy 2007. We saw the spectacular fireworks in Sydney. It felt really weird to think of you there watching it. The fireworks at the London Eye were really amazing too.
Bye for now, hope to hear from you at your next destination.
Lots of love from windy old Englandxxxxx

Ladies,
I am hoping I can get the last post on here for 2006. Perhaps I have posted too early but you never know. Have a great NYE. Don't get too inebriated. As Kirst has been saying the weather's crap so you need something to do. I am sceptical about the whole weather thing. I'm sure its just a little bit warmer than it is in London.
Must be nice to be in Oz when the English cricket team have put up as much of a fight as the French army did in WWII !!
Anyway on that Francophobe bombshell I will bid you an adieu.
Happy New Year
Love

Dear Julie-ka-poo-la-key!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS mate! Hope you put a shrimp on the Barbie for me!
Hope youve had a lovely day - its been so nice here (Ive eaten your portion too!) so even though you couldnt be here it hasnt been all bad...;o)
It felt a bit strange without you...I missed my little sis and strange having your place free at the table...to honour your memory I made your "pizza pie" for you, and we had a ceremonial chopping up session where we all took turns to liquidise a part of our Xmas lunch...it was quite emotional.
Anyway, have fun and hope to speak to you soon!
Loads of love Stu.

PS. Getting extra spoiled without you - could get used to this! Hahahahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahahahah!
