Landing in new zealand
Wow! So far just wow. And all we've managed to do is shower in the airport, get on a bus, get the camper van, eat lunch out and do a supermarket shop to fill our new tiny home.
We are heading towards our camp site for the evening with the hope of managing a few activities before exhaustion takes over and we have to cook the huge fresh king prawns on the BBQ then head to bed......never made it to eat so we just went to bed.....read on to find out why!?
Neil has been an excellent driver so far - just through Auckland. Heading to the country side now where there (hopefully) will be so few people we can just get on being newly weds.
So a surprise for Sarah.....we went horse riding, on the beach, for three hours to watch the sunset :) beautiful clear sky's-two well behaved horses and a brilliant team around us. All Aussies! We mastered walking, trotting and then amazingly we both cantered. Oh and a surprise, our horses decided to race with a third and managed to gallop-slightly scary but neither of us fell off-hurray!
From horse riding we headed north in an attempt to find a campsite....not a good idea past 8.45 as all close at 9 pm. After three attempts and two NZ locals help we found one and begged for a place. Luckily, the kind of ppl NZ locals are, they let us stay without an issue and wanted to help us out :) beautiful ppl over here.
So night, we're signing off after a ridiculously long and hectic day.
Much love xx
