We got up late today as we were told the Brazilian side of the falls wouldn't take long and were still tired from the day before.
As we were in a big hotel the breakfast was much better and we had a big selection to choose from. We had a good breakfast, went up to the room, got ready and then went down and checked out.
We found that we could book our evening bus at an agent close by so headed there. The only option was to go to Sao Paulo so we booked a bus there. We then set off for the falls taking the local bus which stopped close by. There was an amusing sign onboard that showed fat people got priority seats. It was also really hot again and I was sweating a lot.
It was about a half hour ride to the park and when we reached there we bought our tickets and boarded the bus that would take us to the falls. We quickly realised that the Brazilian operation was much more commercial and expensive too. The was only one free path to take and everything else was extra. We didn't fancy doing any of the extras so decided to take the normal path.
We got to the drop off point and first went to investigate the hotel which was in the park. It was quite nice and had a poolside restaurant, where we had just missed lunch.
We then set off on the path to the falls. The Brazilian side gave a much better overview of the falls and we were not that impressed till we got to the end of the path and were able to get really close to the falls. It was a really good experience and we got some more good pictures. The Argentinian side was probably better but I think you had to do both.
I didn't take long to complete the path and after headed to the restaurant at the end. They had a buffet on and we were quite hungry now so took it up. It wasn't the best but they had mogo and an interesting mash potato with passion fruit that Shivani liked. By the end of it we were full and then decided it was time to head back. So we boarded the bus that would take us to the exit. It was still really hot and coupled with the food I was feeling pretty tired.
When we got outside we had to wait a while for the bus. We saw an Indian couple who we had seen earlier and when we boarded the bus Shivani made friends. They were English too and the guy was called Mitul too. We exchanged details as they would be in Sao Paulo and Rio when we were.
After picking up our stuff from the hotel we took a taxi to the bus station and boarded our bus to Curitiba. We had booked the sleeper seats, although they weren't available together. The bus wasnt full when we left so we just sat together and Shivani sorted it out when the guy boarded later. After a quick snack they turned off the lights and we went to sleep.
