Great day exploring the medieval city of Carcassonne. Spencer liked all the turrets & towers & wanted to buy a sword and shield! In Toulouse airport now, back in Aberdeen tonight.

Col De Jou, Casteil, Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Another hike today so a chillout evening at the cottage with wine & ice-cream :-) the owners invited us to evening drinks on the patio, had a couple of drinks of pastis - aniseed drink. We hiked from Casteil up to Col de Jeu, great views of the mountains. Sorry to leave tomorrow, should have booked another week off ! Tomorrow Carcassone ...
Saint-Michel-De-Cuxa, Route De Taurinya, Codalet, Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Sunny & warm today so found a lovely walk from the house to Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa - an abbey 3 miles away. The walk took us along a shady path next to a canal. Later in the afternoon we drove to Eus, said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France ! Spencer liked the views of the countryside from the rucksack :-)
Collioure, France
Brilliant sunny day so we headed down to the coast - Spencer wanted to build sandcastles & paddle in the Mediterranean sea. Collioure is a beautiful medieval seaside town, where many artists have lived incl Picasso & even Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Had fish for lunch ( Linda's favourite, moules et frites), then ice-cream.
Corneilla-De-Conflent, Pyrénées-Orientales, France
Did a hike from a lovely village Corneilla de Conflent today. Stopped for our baguette with ham & Brie (Spencer said the cheese smells funny!), with great views of valley. Relaxed in the natural hot springs in Thomas les Bains. At last we spotted Le Train Jaune, that you can ride along the valley (yellow train).
