Picked up at 7am for our flight to Bangkok. We could have travelled overland but with stories of the wild west border run by the mafia and our need for a 30 day visa, it seemed our best option. We arrived at Bangkok airport on our propeller flown plane an hour earlier than expected. A first from our experience of Asian travel and met a flower weilding Jane and her husband Guy, friends of my friend Hannah, who we were staying with. We were taken by their driver to their luxurious appartment in Bangkok to put our first wash on, and I cannot describe to you how amazing it was to have our clothes washed by machinem knowing that they were going to smell incredible. Our afternoon was spent at the MBK shopping centre- because we havent done quite enough- and visiting Jim Thompsons house. Even after Carly asking for directions to Jim Davidsons house and us not understanding that we should have had a tour guide to show us round the house and gardens, we made it ok. Above the house was an exhibition of memory in Art and it was amazing, the first contemporary exhibition I have seen in a long time! I love Bangkok. To get back to Jane and Guys house in Bang Na we had to take the sky train- something that we had completed successfully that last time we were in Bangkok. This time, we seemed to have more difficulty. After about 30 minurtes of oggling at ladyboys and American stepford wives with WAY too much Botox, I realised we had missed our change to another line. Definitely serves us right. This evening, Jane and Guy took us out for the most beautiful Thai meal we have had so far, The table was filled with food, ranging from Pad Thai to sea bass to Tom Yan Soup. So, so spicy! Guy and Jane have been so amazing welcoming us into their family, we will definitely not want to leave on Tuesday!

Guy and Jane have organised a family day out for us today and we visited the Ancient City for a bike ride. The Ancient City is a huge park with replica buildings of the famous buildings of Thailand. It was a beautiful day, and we both feel so part of this wonderful family. Tonight Jane made us, what we had been craving, a full blown Sunday Roast dinner complete with roast potatoes and gravy. We were in heaven!

Today was the day that I had been looking forward to since I knew we were coming back to Bangkok. We were going to visit the Anotomical Museum. Complete with full grown adult bodies, disfigured arms, legs and organs and even a few babies all set in formaldehyde, I was fascinated, and also very apologetic to Carly who looked like she wanted to throw up. The museum was pretty hard to find, situated on a floor within the hospital and was mainly used for medical students. Some of the objects in there turned even my stomach (the mans head cut in half with his eyes still staring at you was one) this is the beauty of Thailand. I wonder if school would let me bring the kids here...if not, dont worry, i still have photos...
Tonight we enjoyed our last family meal with the Camptons (lasagne, amazing). We have had such a fabulous time here- they couldnt have been more welcoming or generous. We are incredibly sad to leave.
