hi guys!!!

we made it to Thailand yesterday afternoon - luckily - as we have seen on the news that the Philippines has finally hit typhoon season - 12 people have already been killed!! we are hoping that the sun stays for our stay here!!!

Our hotel is awesome!!! and Bangkok is no where near as dirty as everyone says it is, its actually pretty cool here.

Today we had our first tuk tuk ride (free service given by the hotel) which took us to the Thewet Pier where the river taxi's are, the water was filthy and brown with about a million massive fish being fed bread by the locals - crazy!! We got on one of the river taxi's which was a long open boat, this took us to Tian where we switched river taxi's and went to Wat Arun Ratchawararam (temple of the dawn) this was very colourful and huuuuge! we were able to climb to the top (you can see what we mean by the photos) - the steps were stupidly steep, small and narrow. SJ didnt go right to the top cause of the height but Morgan did and said the view was awesome!

After mooching around this temple we got a boat across the river and headed to Wat Po (temple of the reclining buddha) as we went to enter a 'friendy thai' which we have read soooo much about - told us we couldnt go in untill 3pm cause of what we were wearing and told us he could take us on a tour untill that time - we said no thanks and what do you know we were able to go in!!!!!!! we had to take off our shioes and SJ was given a shawl to wear to cover shoulders (like she was at the previous temple)

As we were walking to the Grand Palace, lots of Thai people were telling we couldnt go in etc.... then we ended up talking to security guard who told us the same haha but we could go back later on in the day, we decided to head back to the hotel and grab some lunch, so we decided to update you.
